On Saturday, May 28, the 2016 Na Hoku Hanohano Awards was held at the Hawaiian Convention Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. For those of you unfamiliar with Hawaiian music accolades, the Na Hoku Hanohano Awards is a prestigious music ceremony that presents music awards based on musical excellence; the Hawaiian Grammys...On that special night, "Brother For The People," was nominated for two categories and won the "Best Music Video/DVD Award!" 'Thank you Taz for believing in me, the real meaning of publishing music and "Living the DREAM!"
"Brother For The People" was filmed in New York on the Brooklyn Bridge, Ground Zero, Times Square and in Hawaii on Mauna Kea! Taz Vegas was the FIRST Hawaiian to ever film a music video on the Brooklyn Bridge! "Brother For The People" is a statement of humanity; a philosophic approach towards Brotherhood and Motherhood! Despite our different colors, ethnicities and beliefs, we are all created equal; without prejudice! Special thanks goes out to Taz Vegas and all of the creative hearts, minds and souls that supported this amazing project... Taz also performed the Hawaiian Version of "Another Rainbow," "He Anuenue" (the music video featured on Hawaiian Airlines) at the show as well which aired statewide on K5! What a night to remember! That following week Taz Vegas had debuted the world peace anthems of "Brother For The People" and "He Anuenue" ("Another Rainbow" in Hawaiian) in Tokyo, Japan at Spiral Hall in Aoyama!
